Did Chevy drop the price?

I built the truck I order from time to time on both gmfamilyfirst and the Chevy site. Back on 10/16/13 just before I ordered (right after they bumped the price) I printed out exactly what I ordered. At that time the base MSRP was $44370 and the options $4430 for a total with delivery and handling of 49,895 After I realized they weren't going to build it with the rear slider I built it again and noticed the options total $250 less ($4180) than what it would be if you added them up. Credit for the slider no doubt but no mention of it anywhere just that the individual option prices don't add up. Today I built it again and noticed the base MSRP has dropped $100 to $44,270. Its not much but it looks like by the time my truck gets here the sticker may be $350 less than when I ordered it.

I know they are removing and discontinuing the rear sliding window and crediting people $250 back. That may be it?

Nevermind, read the entire post lol.

I think I may have come up with something, I was looking and this week it looks like they changed the order guide to exclude the tilt/telescoping wheel in certain instances. mine being a base 1LZ now may not have it. here is the order guide update

  • Crew Cab and Double Cab Interior section-(N37) Steering column, manual tilt and telescoping, changed availability on 1LZ and 2LZ to "A". Updated footnote to read "Requires (PCM) LT Convenience Package or (PDU) All Star Edition. Not available with (LV3) 4.3L EcoTec3 V6 engine." and moved RPO to the Free Flow RPO code column.

Which would suck because that is an option unlike the rear slider that I would want.

The sliders are having problems. I suspect that if the supplier corrects the problem and can supply to the demand, they will again become available.

I am thinking the supplier may not be able to meet the demand for the tilt/tele columns. Previously I have seen where this column has been on constraint in the LTs my guess is by making it a stand alone option in the LTZ they may not get as many takers easing the burden on the supplier. Just my thoughts. The big question I would have is weather or not my truck is going to get built with it or not. I don't care about the slider and am happy with at $250 credit however the telescopic column was really nice in the truck I test drove.
