5 star crash rating for 2014 models

If you backed into a bush i bet the box folds like paper too. I cant imagine gm trucks getting tougher than my 2007. Everything is about crumple zones now.

Tough and safe are not the same thing. The old trucks may have been solid but their performance in a crash test would leave you with a bad feeling in your stomach.

I remember going to the very first Colorado launch in the 2003 time frame. They boasted about a 4-star rating, explaining that was what the target customer wanted. Oh how times have changed.
