Well the old guy is up now, the trucks of today are quicker then a lot of ( fast cars from the show room) back in the day. I had a 74 nova custom with the ss package High 15s stock at the time that was fast. Even my 94 Impala ss only ran mid 15s, later mods change that. The wifes Geneses V6 runs in 5s 0-60 13s in the 1/4. You can thank the gears tn the trans for most of that. When guys say race a truck, I like to have had some of my trucks back in the 70s. Guys are already getting these trucks in the mid 14s without much doing, gas it.

My 2014 5.3 w 3.42..not to happy about lazy throttle response and it's sluggish power...glad it's a lease
