VIN Etching on your new 2014?

Same here the salesman never said a word about it and the finance guy said it was already done so I had to pay. I told him to etch it out then as I did not plan on paying for it. They subtracted the 198.00 off the price.

I purchased my truck off the lot and the etching was already completed prior to my test drive. The dealership was trying to charge me an additional $200 for the etching and they also told me it would save on my insurance premium. I told him that wasn't true about my insurance company. I didn't want the etching and if he kept pushing the $200, I would walk away from the deal. This etching cost was removed from the sale and never mentioned again.
