I have been lurking around for a while with my past couple of trucks and finally decided to join. I recently purchased a 2014 Sierra 1500 4x4 Z71 and couldn't be happier with the truck. Just needs some gears.

2014 Sierra SLE

added vent visors, bug sheild and tinted the windows. will add running boards soon but would like opinions. I'm 6'2" and don't have a problem getting in the truck, if i add the running boards more than likely i'll have a dirty leg when getting out. Also, wish i would have gotten the LED DRL.

Running boards are strictly for work purposes and take away from the clean look of a truck and give it a grandpa look IMHO. I'm 5'10" and don't find them necessary even when the truck is lifted, I can always step a few inches higher, but if you really want them I'd go with the power folding amp research steps. It will look cleaner and not get your leg dirty.

I am not a huge fan of "sliding" out because I feel it ads unnecessary wear to the side of my seat, but I do really like the power folding running boards; maybe one day.
