jenga Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 What are the difference between the two years? Bed stack pockets, stake pockets spacing, width, lengths, etc.. I found locally on Craigslist a topper and tonneau cover that I am interested in but not sure if they would work. The tonneua cover is from a 2009 short bed and the topper from a 2010 Short bed crew cab. I looked up the tonneua cover manufactured and they list a separate version for 2014 using newer mounting hardware on the interior of the bed versus the stake pockets. Thanks,
MikeNH Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I don't think the stake pockets are readily accessible on the new trucks.
MotoMedic Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Interior bed sheet metal is the same. Exterior (including rail tops) and stake holes are different. My Roll-Bak bed cover transferred perfectly from my GMT-900 to my new K2 using the same hardware. Can't speak about other brands. 1
[email protected] Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 My BakFlip G2 transferred totally fine as well from my 2009 to 2014 1
jenga Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 The one on Craigslist is a fold-a-cover G4 Elite Cover & Caddy Bundle | 07-13 GM Silverado/Sierra 5ft 8in bed (GM4924+PC0). For $250, I might try to see if I can make it work if the stack pockets are similar. I did notice the 14 has the bed caps all around versus the earlier one that just had the tailgate.
RyanbabZ71 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Maybe contact the company and see if it fits I am sure they will be 100% sure one way or another Ryan
2017SierraSLT Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 The rear most stake pocket holes are now larger to also act as grab areas when you use the new step bumper.
17TXLTZ Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Might be bringing this one back to life, didn't want to start a new thread... Anyone else transferred old tonneau covers (2007-2013) to a 2014+ crew cab short box? I purchased a used Roll n Lock of Offer Up and the guy supposedly had it on a 2014+, but when I contacted Roll N Lock to purchase missing parts, they identified that it was for a 2007-2013 truck and it will not fit...a little bummed out if that's the case...
Lee Day Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Will the bed from a 2015 chev fit my 2013 chev
