Order Tracking

New guy here and I searched the forums but can't find what I'm looking for. I am trying to track the order of my truck but the sites I used to track my 2011 Sierra 2500 no longer work (CamaroTracking and GMConnects).

Does anyone have any suggestions or alternative for tracking my order without constantly checking with the dealer?

If anyone can help, my order # is RPZRKX

Thanks in advance and hope to learn lots about the new truck on this forum.

-Ryan

Ryan, I have been talking to GM on there chat to find the status of the GM. Until your truck has been accepted by GM, it will not be tracked. I was told after it is accepted by GM, it will be able to be tracked on gmconnect.

Is there any truth to the "system updating on Tuesdays"?

DOSP - Dealer Order Submission Process

The weekly process consists of 4 stages.

1. Constraints Distribution - Dealers are informed on constraints to review before placing orders.

2. Dealer Order Submission - Dealers can order on Thursday, Friday or no later than midnight on Saturday. (You can submit orders earlier but you don't know the constraints. (A Constraint is a limit placed on an specific build configurations.)

3. The 4-Pass Process - GM will attempt to place each dealer’s orders on Mondays using a 4-Pass process. (At this point a dealer may get more or less than was allocated if they asked.)

4. Dealer Review-You can review your placed orders for changes or replacements until Tuesday at 9pm ET. That's when the orders are sent to production control.

Does anyone know how long does it take for your vehicle to get delivered from a plant after is built?

Mine took a little over 3 weeks to get to NJ.

Hi, Dealer placed my order on monday 04/06/15. I got a call from dealer today 04/22/15 that the truck has been shipped. Went on chevrolet.com and sure enough this is the reply.

Great News! I do see that the vehicle has been completely built. VIN- *****************. The vehicle is currently being shipped from the Plant facility in Silao, Mexico heading to the Vehicle Distribution Center in Lordstown, OH by train. On average when being shipped by train, it takes 2- 2 1/2 weeks to arrive to its' destination. This is pretty fast.

Mine was shipped the very same day from Mexico. I expect it to take another 1-2 weeks to arrive up here in Canada if all trucks go to that dist. center.
