Chevy Splash Guard installation issue

I tried to install front OEM Splash guards on my 2014 Silverado and I can't get past the installation of the rivet nuts. Is there a clever trick or a special tool for installing them? I am stuck with two 13/64" holes in my fender wall and no way to attach the splash guards. Help!

The attached quote shows a Rivnut tool you can order from Amazon. I bought it and it worked fine installing the rivnuts. Good luck. Johnnyee

I just installed the Chevy version and yes, it looks like the holes are a bit oversized but when you crimp the rivnut it captures it just fine. <br /><br />Be forewarned, the bolt, nut and washer home made tools posted all over the Internet DO NOT WORK. The supplied rivnut's are steel and the home made tools only work correctly with aluminum rivnut's. <br /><br />Either purchase or rent the proper tool or see if your dealer can install the rivnut's for you. Problem finally solved. I went to Ace Hardware and got some push pins and they worked perfectly. They had the exact size I needed, which was good because I had already drilled the holes. Here is what the finished product looks like.
