Want duals on my 13' 5.3 but don't want much more noise in the cab. Hoping to find something that sound awesome outside just not so much in.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Borla sounds pretty good and they also have videos to let you hear what it sounds like inside and outside the truck

OK thanks, I've though about borla or Gibson.

i have a Gibson on my 03 SS for 10 years now with no complaints/issues..it can get a little loud inside, but you can hear the exhaust tones, but no drown..it's about 10 db louder than stock inside but when you push it, it will scream..what ever you get, spend the extra $$ on a stainless system.

Hi Kyle,

If you’re looking to make your truck sound more aggressive, check out our “S-Type” cat-back system (part #140429) for your 5.3L. This exhaust was designed specifically for your truck to make it sound loud and mean on the outside, while keeping unwanted resonance out of the cabin. This system comes with dual, split rear 4” polished tips.

We also offer other cat-back systems with split rear (p. #140340), side (p. #140343), and split side exits (p. #140341). These cat-back systems will have a more mellow sound, closer to our “Touring” systems. These would be a good pick if you want to give your truck a nice growl that’s slightly louder than the stock the exhaust. As with the “S-Type” cat-back I mentioned above, our other cat-back systems will keep drone/resonance to an absolute bare minimum in the cabin.

All of our systems are made of high quality, 300-series austenitic stainless steel and come with our Million Mile Warranty. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call at 805-986-8600. Happy exhaust hunting!

Lindsay,

Do you know when the cat back system will be available for the 6.2

Hi Derrick,

We finished development on the 6.2L in our R&D shop. Now the systems have to go through our red tape and internal paperwork phase. After developing a product on the work bench, sound testing and approval has to get drawn in CAD by our engineers, costed, and then sent to the production floor for scheduled fabrication. All said and done, you should be able to order this part in 2-3 months, hopefully less. Thanks for your patience; we really appreciate your interest in our parts. I hope you have a great day!

Corsa or Borla are really your only options when it comes to sound out the back and not in the cab. Especially if you don't want drone.
