Aftermarket Fender Flares

Does anyone here know if the fender flares used on the "Black Widow" edition Sierra available to the public? I ordered a set of the Bushwacker Pocket style flares last week because at first glade they looked real similar. But then today I took a closer look at the Black Widow ones and realized that they are quiet a bit different and I'm not really a fan of the ones I bought.

The Black Widow ones pretty much mold and follow the lines and ridges of the bed and fenders, as where the Bushwacker doesn't. I searched google and the forum and couldn't come up with much info other than them listing them as "custom fender flares'. So I emailed the southeast rep for mcmvehicles/southerncomfort, maybe he will get back to me with good news. If not, guess i'll just go without flares.

Southern Comfort used to do their own molding years ago so I am going to assume they are back in the business of doing it again. Used to be you could not just buy the kits from them unless you had one of their vehicles then that changed where you could but I am unsure if that has changed again.

Last time I wanted a kit for an avalanche I got a vin from one that had been damaged in an accident and had an entire kit shipped to my shop when I ran it back then. Don't know the procedure now.

Definitely not a bad idea. I have an email in to them now, so hopefully i'll know tomorrow.

What's wrong with bushwacker? The smooth design looks great IMO

Seems to follow the lines fairly well

Just not a fan.... I like the way the ones from the Black Widow lay right in the ridge of the fenders and look more natural. I didn't notice it until I compared the trucks side by side.

To me the flares on this black truck look much better

I see what you're going for. You want to have that "oem flare" fully Covered by the new flare . I agree it does look good - I'm going gloss with mine so smooth works better for me.

Yeah that'll look pretty good to.

I like the first painted ones, I cant stand the faux riveted flares.

+1 the faux riveted fender flares is a distraction to the truck. The smooth flares are more aesthetically pleasing.

On a plain stock truck, I agree. But my truck has chrome rivets on the wheels, along with the rest of the chrome trim. So I feel like it flows well with the rest of the truck.

Well, the people from Southern Comfort emailed me back, and the Black Widow flares are available to the public. Now to order a set!

Is anyone running anything other than the Bushwacker Pocket Flares? I am not a huge fan of the bolted look but I can't find pictures of anyone running anything else. I can find little small one angle shots on Google images and the manufacture web sites but I am looking for actual pictures. I think the Extenda Flares would work for what I am trying to accomplish but I'm not sure. Doesn't have to be Bushwacker; can be any other brand.

Do a search, I posted pictures on this forum somewhere of a truck with factory style flares. Bushwacker makes them

A couple pictures I have

Those look pretty good kind of what I am going for. I would like to see what they look like from different angles if anyone is running any.
