TIME:About 2:52 PM, today(2/19/03)

:D

SITUATION:decided to leave school ASAP to avoid the massive part of traffic from my 2,000+ person High School. was following a white Tarus, when sudden I saw it's brake lights and it not moving. the quickness of the stop startled me, and thinking I might not be able to stop in time I swerved left to make sure I wouldn't hit it.

PROBLEM: white Nissan compact truck in blind spot

:flag:

OUTCOME:

we collided, and once again I must agree that my Chevy is, indeed, like a rock. I didn't even feel hardly anything, just a slight crunch. we both got out and looked at the damage, neither of us had cell phones so we drove a block to texaco, and called our parents and the police. I don't have a fine, yet, but a court date, March 13, 2003, 3:00 PM

DAMAGE:

my door will need to be replaced, and I'm 90% sure  that the large scrapes and dents in my bed are irrepairable. the 2 inches of metal behind the bed in front of the door, oddly enough, have little if no damage, but the door and bed are severely crunched. the safety cage and frame have no damage, so me and my dad are debating weither it will be totaled or not, I think it will, personally.

:D

If we can find a place that will repair with a used bed/door and the insurance agreed, then that will probably cut a huge cost of repair, which means it wouldn't be totaled. I'm expecting the worst, and hoping for the best. Driveability has not been affected at all, except for that fact people stare at it for a different reason now :(

Bummer man!!! Sorry to hear about your truck.

If you check out any of my pics below, to see how it will be set up, that is a good place, the only problem is when you post them on here, you have to email it to another email, then cut and paste the link onto your post, kinda tedious, but hey it is free. I believe the homepage is http://www.sendaframe.com if you want to just go there instead of through my pics.

Good luck man,

Tom

Well as I have said from personal experience, any accident you can walk away from is a good one.  Well no accident is good, I guess.  Hope they're able to get it squared away for you.

BTW : I thought your truck was a 90 but by the grill and mirrors it looks like a 95+ also looks like a diesel bumper on it
