2009 GMC Sierra 1500 Bed Removal

First, I need to say I am a dumb ass and I know it! Back in October I accidentally drilled through the back wall when I was installing my amp. Now that the weather is a little nicer, I want to replace the caulk I used with some bondo and some paint to prevent/fix rusting. To accomplish this I need to remove the bed. This is the first time I have attempted a bed removal and am looking for some guidance on how to remove the bed. What do I need to remove the bed? Can I just move it back 10-12 inches so I have working room or will I need to remove it and set it down somewhere? Any suggestions for moving the bed? Not sure about weight I have at least one other person helping me. I just don't want to damage anything else trying to fix this problem! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Don't forget to undo the filler neck from the bedside and check for grounds too.

I think Karl has a stutter, it's easier if you take off the rear bumper also so you don't scratch the bed.

Thanks for all of the replies. I will give it a try this week and see how it all works. Nothing better than learning something new! Will probably try to slide it back a a foot or two and if that does not work, I will move it completely. Thanks again for the help.
