best serpintine belt and leaf spring

I just bought an 05 GMC Sierra quadrasteer 4x4 ext. cab 5.3 ltr. I want to replace the serpintine and ac belts. When I search for it on the car parts store websites, I get multiple choices. from 6 rib to 12 rib. Also a few different sizes. I need to know which size belt I need. I did not see any numbers on the existing belts on the truck now. I will check again. Also need leaf springs. What is the best brand for replacement? Regarding serpentine belts, I'm not terribly brand loyal. To me, what's more important is carrying a spare serpentine in the truck, than what brand I use. Two is one, one is none.

 

Can't help with leaf springs.

I am not necessarily brand loyal either but I do not buy the store branded belts and tend to stay with name brands. I dont carry my belts with me but do not cut off the old ones so I have a spare around in the garage if the need arises..

Gates, Dayco, Goodyear

Always used OE belts. That said, chances are the Delco belt is a Gates or Goodyear belt.

Leaf springs for a first timer, eh depends on the available equipment you have to do the job. If you just have some hand tools and a floor jack I'd say do not attempt

This...belts are one thing not to be cheap about. Old one as a spare works if emergency occurs.

Thanks for the replies. I used the RPO code in the glovebox for the belt size. The code KG3 tells me I have the 145 amp alternator. Which means the longer 93 inch belt. I'm thinking of getting the Goodyear Gatorback belts for serpentine and AC.

I use gatorback belts myself just because the name brand is in line with the off brands
