Camaro Replacement Concept

Well, in a recent article, Bob Lutz stated that there was a "Top Secret" Chevy concept car for the 2002 US Auto shows and as soon as he saw it, he said Build It...

It is a Camaro replacement concept - ready for production in MY 2005???

I think there is a reason that most of the Camaro concept drawings all look the same - because that might be what's on GMs mind.

Here is what I think we could see...

Keep in mind (despite what others think) GM is not that stupid to offer a car with the Camaro name w/o RWD and a Corvette inspired V-8 (at least in this decade) - so everything that you know about the Camaro will be the same, just in a different package...

I prefer the pics (computer rendered) drawings that I saw in MotorTrend about 3-4 months ago.  It was a modern version of the "Original" '67-'69 body...

Sorry Avant, the "secret" car is NOT a Camaro.

I have a great friend who is an executive at GM. Same guy who set up me going to bragg-smith.

Well, then I suggest you ask your great friend to get you a picture of the 03 Silverado, so you can show it to me.....

I kinda like it!  I'm not that fond of it but It's not bad either.

It's not as pretty as the 4th gen, by any means, but the front end has the hint of a late 60's Z28, which I like.

I dislike the split side windows.  F-bodies need one single window on the side or it just isn't right.

I saw some concept drawings like that in Chevy Hi-Performance.  They looked awesome, it was the first gen camaro look w/ some new body styling.

I don't think GM will take the Camaro and offer it as a smaller car like Ford did w/ the Mustang a while back.  (Looks like an escort, can get a 4cyl, you do the math)
