Love hate relationship with All Terrain package

Skip the AT. Red stitching and plastic faux "carbon fiber" aint worth $3K. Buy your truck in SLT trim and change what you want. You'll be money ahead and happier. Those freakin "carbon fiber' panels on my seats just piss me off. I paid for leather and got half the seat covered in the vinyl. I'm actually considering taking it to an upholstery shop and having them replace the panels with leather.

See the cooled seat were a deal breaker for me. So far I love them and they will come in very handy this summer. So I got a SLT and just did what I like. Here is a blacked out AT grille. painted bumpers may come later but they don't bother me as much now and they kinda match the bolts and lugs on my wheels so we'll see. I feel your pain though. Wish you could just go and check boxes with no other conflicting options

Just to clarify a few things.

 

You cannot get an A/T in fire red. White, black or silver are the choices.

A/T interior is black with Carbon fauxber accents. I would rather not have black interior.

 

 

Cooled seats are not a deal breaker for me... But they are extremely nice. If you have not come out of a successful sales call in your suit and tie on a hundred degree day, and blown some cool air on your neither regions... Don't underestimate their importance.

All-Terrain Package, includes (RT5) 18" x 8.5" (45.7 cm x 21.6 cm) chrome aluminum wheels, (Z71) Off-Road Suspension Package with monotube Rancho shocks, (NZZ) underbody shield, (UD7) Rear Park Assist, (B58) carpeted floor mats, (VB5) front body-color bumper, (DD8) auto-dimming inside rearview mirror and (VT5) rear body-color bumper with cornersteps. All-Terrain side emblem replaces Z71 side emblem. Requires one of the following exterior colors: GAN, GAZ, GBA, GCE, GXG, G56 or GBN (GBN on Crew Cab only). Sierra 1500's with the (GAT) All Terrain package and with body color bumpers produced prior to November 18th, 2013 will not include (BWN) rear bumper corner steps on the body color rear bumper.

To me, those colors are all black, silver, white and ugly red.

 

Being from Nebraska, maroon is not a n option either.

Have the All Terrain package black on black and must say I love this setup and it turns heads everywhere.. Happy with my truck!! Inside and out... Well Done GM.. Although I do wish there were more options and customization available to customers who are paying huge $$ for these trucks..

It's my opinion that GM Marketing is too powerful and stuck in the past. And why Dodge with their 10+ packages is winning.

And I say this even after I pick up my new SLT tomorrow. Pained me to take countless hours between AT, SLT, Denali to get what I want, and had to 'settle' on a SLT. Could pick the Dodge I wanted in 5 minutes.

Make matters worse, then you want to add a nice feature later, no friggin way, they make it impossible.

Let the dealers make some money for gods sake GM. A friend would pay the dealer to add a nav to his SLE, no can do. I would pay the dealer to add a heated wheel to my SLT (one in stock), no can do.

GM is just lucky that the air ride Dodges sacrifice so much payload, or I would have our second dodge in the driveway after bleeding GM for 25 years. Wife loves her 45K Durango vs a 65K Yukon slt, coming from a Yukon XL Denali (75K). And I say GM is lucky, but the real matter is I feel bad for my dealer who I really like, as he watches the Rams fly off the lot next door as his sit and sit.
