270,000 + miles TUNE OR BOOM?

My question is what all should be gone through before putting a good tune (more than likely from black bear) on an engine with that high of mileage on it???

_{No way I would put a tune in a motor with that high of mileage that motor is tired and a tune is not going to help you get your power back, have it rebuilt or as you say BOOM.}

I've seriously considered it for mine with well over 300k And I just see bad things happing

270 on the entire drive train? There are a lot of variables that only you will know of your truck. Is everything solid or are you pouring a gallon of oil in it between changes etc? Your not going to recoup the money from the tune anyway. Have some fun if your truck is solid. If the price was right to begin with, why not have some fun with it?

It's not worth spending the money on for a truck that old.. I wouldn't be driving my truck hard if it had that many miles
