Vent Visors, Shades, Side Window Defectors

Hey all,

 

Newb here. Just hit the 8k mi mark on my Silvy. Am gonna be adding some goodies this year, small lift, wheels, tires (Duratracs), vent shades, possibly fender flares, fiberglass topper w/ ladder rack. S/b getting my topper in a few days. My question is, what do you guys think of color matching the vent shades? Look sharp? I'm not finding any pictures in online searches. Wondering if any of you photoshop savvy guys could mock up my truck with white vent shades.

 

I am a commercial contractor, and it is a work truck. At the same time, I like it to look sharp/rugged/capable for on the weekends.

If your not paying attention you might not even notice them. Definitely need my topper windows tinted darker. Recomendations anyone? I talked to a tint guy a couple weeks ago, 50% the darkest you can go in MN, what a joke! Now for some white bowties....

I am thinking about getting Chrome In-Channel Vent Visors and it looks like Putco is the only ones that make them right now. Anyone have any experience with Putco? Pros and Cons?

I have Weathertech in channels on my 2011 and like them. They list tinted ones for 2014 also. I like chrome in general but chrome vent visors look horrible to me.

Yeah I am torn! I think the chrome would look good with my truck and the chrome is already on it.

Which ventvisors is everybody selecting on their new 2014s? I am sceptic about the in channel type doing damage over time. Any thoughts?
