Differential case

The yoke entering the diff case is very loose and leaking fluid. There has been a loud grinding noise while driving. Im hoping there is a fix without replacing the rear end. Any thought much appreciated! Thanks!

This differential case is on a 2007 chevy silverado 3500 dually

your pinion bearings are done,,,

 

what has to happen is it has to come out and apart,,,,,,,it is inspected and a price for repair is presented to you ,,,,if the diff housing is done then replacement is required,,,,

 

ya just dont replace it ,,,,ya get it estimated first

Have it looked at by good shop/mechanic with diff experience

Thanks for the feedback, it was certainly the pinion bearing, It was a job but we replaced it and all seems well.
