Just have a Iphone 4

When phone is connected to truck I don't get a notification of a text message

No sound that I have received a text

 

Any fix?

Yeah, buy an android phone.

 

Its not a mylink issue, its an Apple/IOS issue.

 

The truck reads text messages just fine from my several year old Galaxy S3.

if I have my iPhone 5 on "not" vibrate mode, and I am in the Media screen. I will hear my ringtone thru the truck when I get a call. But I cant recall if I hear the text notification.

interesting, i'll havea to try hands free mode. i hate having to use that, i wish the texts worked automatically.

If you are streaming music from your iphone either bluetooth or connected then you will hear notifications for email or text messages. But if you are listening to the radio, usb etc then you will only hear when the phone rings.
