Dbl cab Denali/High Country???

Obviously GM has no interest in building a double cab Denali or High Country.

But thought it would be worth asking current & future buyers that were in the market

for a double cab if you would spend a few dollars more for the respective packages?

Have no interest in a crew, but if I could save the dollars between the cab differences

& still get a desired option package, thinking I would do it. Anyone else?

I would buy a regular cab Denali with 6.2 in a heartbeat.

Just seems odd to me to have a high end truck like that in a double cab. If I am kicking that much coin for a truck it's gonna have a crew and a 6-1/2 foot bed.

Crew cabs are what sell these days. No surprise they limit too tier trim to those.

Alot of garages will fit a crew with short box or a double with standard box (cuz they're the same length) but not a crew with a standard box.

Those that need/want a standard box, but want to park inside are looking at double cabs.

I understand & that is probably the general logic. My thought is if you are spending that kind of coin for an overly optioned truck, should you not be able to get what you want?

Particularly as the cost differential for GM to outfit a double cab rear seat & door panels would not cost much, yet they would be able to still charge the premium price structure.

Someone else mentioned that they should put the 6.2 in a reg cab & agree there too, even if it were a limited production sort of deal. But am sure they will cite some sort of safety

thing while in reality it is the bean counters wanting to sell the higher end of the price spectrum of the product line...as well as CAFE garbage.

thats really the biggest problem with car companies in general, it is very hard to truly option vehicles the way you want. Everything is in some sort of restricted package now. It would be interesting to see if profit margins actually increased if they let you pick the options you actually wanted on the body style you wanted. I remember when chevy came out with quadrasteer, still think they should have stuck with it and made it standard on the trucks and suv's, but you couldnt get it with certain colors, like the color makes the steering system work properly or not.
