Engine cutting out/dieing

I have an 81gmc 1500 the battery is 2 months old the starter is good, when it is running and I press the gas pedal their is a click from the engine and its starts to stutter, when I turn the lights on it will kill the engine any ideas?

You either got a really loose battery connection, or the battery is low due to a bad or non-functioning alternator. That's the way it looks from here anyway.

Yep, I would charge battery well, take the whole thing to parts stpre.Remember,just because you have a new battery, doesn''''''''''t necessarily mean you have a good one. When buying any part have old one and new one tested.
