GMC Headlights.... again

I know the whole headlight upgrade thing have been discussed in countless threads. I tried to read through and keep up with them all.. but still not seeing exact answer...

I currently have the Sierra with Putco headlight bulbs, and VLED fog lights. The color match is perfect... matches great also with the DRL LEDS. The output overall is slightly better that stock.. mainly due to the fog lights being better than stock.

I find that I never use the brights because that shuts off the fog lights....and overall the light output is worse. Plus the hi beams go up in the trees as we all know.

My simple question is this... Does the aftermarket make a better headlight bulb yet? I do NOT / will not do the HID kit.. Just want to get more lighting out of the stock headlights.

Nope, no one offers a better bulb. Very few vehicles use the HIR 9012 bulb and from my research only Phillips makes the bulb. I personally think it is a demand issue, there is not enough demand so no one else will make a better bulb. I think we are already at the max for the output the 9012 can offer, I personally just want a whiter light.

I am waiting on some 9011 bulbs to get here, they are 65w versus the 55w of the 9012. Light color will be the same though.

I cant believe you like the putco, I hated them. The output was horrid on the head lights and as well for the fog lights. I wish someone offered a brighter and whiter 5202 bulb as well. What I found on the fog if the bulb is too long it will push it further away from the projector and changes the focus of the beam.

How do you get the 9011 bulbs work in the Sierra? I would love to get 65W bulbs.. can you post a link to the ones you purchased...

Whatever I can do to get more light output I'm game... just will not do the HID thing..
