I'm not quite done yet, still need to hide some wires on passenger side under the carpetm here is my progress. I have now spent over 5 hours taking off old electrical tape, zip tying, and putting on the powerbraid, and hiding wires. I have a nice stack of crap I have pulled out, including the head unit for the aftermarket stereo. I need to buy a dash block off plate now.

Thanks. Forgot to get a before shot of the spot in the engine bay. Looked like a crayloa box exploded once I had the electrical tape off. The tape did its job, but was getting old, looked bad, and the stickiness was literally melting off, making a shiny goo, that was a pain to wash off when you touched it.

Well crap, have to figure out where that frayed disconnected wires goes. It came off the driver's side of the trans near the front

I found the connection I pulled apart. It was stuck in carpet glue so when I pulled the wires out for the powerbraid it came loose.

Two good stories today. Pulled into a Braums parking lot this morning in the early am when troubleshooting. When I climb out of the footwell an S10 is RIGHT THERE. I jumped and the guy was like "OH! Sorry, just wanted to tell you its beautiful!"

I guess he had followed me in the lot.

On the way home, a ram is next to me for 4 blocks, I think nothing of it, every time I drive it this happens. Mind you the OD is off so I'm at 3100 RPM with straight through mufflers on a 541 V8. Then I notice their window going up.

Sorry Ram 3500 wasn't trying to snub ya, I just didn't hear a thing. Still can't, actually

Day started off cold (40s) and rainy but ended sunny and mid 60s

The dealer putting on the rally had a nice Tahoe. Loved the color. Price tag for the LT version (Leather, rear dvd basically fully loaded LT was $59K)

Car also rolled over 4K miles today

2014 hood with the functional heat extractor vents. Have the vent color matched. Will be easy to match paint since yours hasn't seen a UV ray.

I was going over the botched dyno session story with a coworker(Ford guy), was telling him about the strange timing setting I found on the ignition control box.

He was thinking maybe a previous guy had done that when the starter was starting to go, he said it can help it fire up quicker. He's a hard core mustang guy, has a 65, and a 03 Mach1 that I wouldn't be surprised if it kept in a climate controlled bubble. He looked it over for 15 minutes and said "everything looks right", was impressed.

He has a Sprint Car, and said he has seen around 70HP differences on it with just a few degrees of timing change, so he thinks I picked up a lot of power when I removed the retard the day after the dyno. He agreed it probably is over 700HP like I originally thought. That stupid dyno had me so worried before I found out it was botched.

Its been getting me thinking about getting that custom billet cam from Straub, he was sure he could get another 100 RWHP.
