OK, got the leak fixed and ran her around. Drove great, seems like keeping traction is harder now.

Figure out the hot starting issues the new starter is MUCH better, but hooked up a volt meter and tried a few things on the under hood power terminal.

Power is consistent:

12.5 when off

12.0 when key is on and fuel pump running

11.2 for two seconds, then 11.5 steady volts when the electric fans are going full blast.

The high torque starters want 12v.

It has a fan override to force them on if they aren't (to cool down more between laps/passes, they switch on around 210 automatically)

Not worried at all, not actually a problem. Won't even seriously consider an override off switch it unless it won't start at all one day when its hot & I have pull the fuse for two seconds during startup.

ARG. It IS an AN 10 with a super thick wall. I just saw "5/8" stamped on a spot that wasn't visible from under the car(its behind brake caliper, saw it through the wheel.)

Good news is the hose isn't a waste. The lines that connect the valve covers are -12, so the black rubber hoses over the engine will soon be braided stainless.

Edit: or not, the line under hood are push on, and I can't find for sure if the hose will work with it.

Started the process of organizing the wiring. Found 6 wires with no purpose(not connected to anything on one end).

The decision is if I want to go through the hassle of tracing and removing all of them, or just cut them as far as I can see, and remove all that is viable(some of them are routed behind engine and above transmission).

I'm thinking option 2, since it will still be a heck of a lot better than seeing useless wiring.

Also need to disassemble some things just to untangle some wires.

Challenger Hellcat

Let us know how it compares when you get it(in corners, we know its fast in a straight line)

I know the ZL1 has already beat them on racetracks but how does it feel?

I hope they sell a crap load of hellcats, that's good for everyone

They all handle better than I am capable of using. Since I grew up during the original muscle car era before traction control, ABS, etc all these current generation muscle cars are amazing. I wish I could own one or two of each. :ughdance:

Really wish you would stop posting this crap! Been staring at 1LE's for the past couple weeks & your pics do NOT help.

Obviously joking, but when did you get the wheels? The last time I saw this or a similar thread *thought* you had just coated your factory 5 spoke wheels.

Regardless, looks great.

Those wheels look even better in person!

Saw a Red Rock Metallic 1LE the other day that has been driving me insane.

Always buy black vehicles, but it contrasted really well.

Going to *try* to hang back, watch the Detroit Auto Show for the 2016 debut.

Worst case, score a deal on a outgoing 2015. But the wait...
