Anyone put a trailer hitch in truck bed for winch mount?

I've been looking for a way to install a winch in my truck bed to help with pulling my motorcycle up a ramp. I found one guy made his own bracket to hold a winch, but it's basically just a homemade trailer hitch (see below.) Anyone try this with a pre-made trailer hitch? If so, any recommendations how to find a straight one the width of a 08 Sierra bed?

Worked with a guy that made something pretty similar to that. His was a bit more crude looking but did a pretty slick job of pulling submersible pumps up in the truck to take them for rebuilding.. They weighed about 750 lbs..

Channel iron (approx 2in inside depth) across the front of the bed rail with 2 ends modded to drop into the corner posts (with pins to hold down in place), a plate on top with wires ran from the battery under the hood to connect too.. Pretty slick actually.

I learned along time ago that loading my bike onto a the trailer is way easyer then the truck bed.

Harbor freight sells the receiver part for making your hitch. Then you could simply pull the pin and removing the winch when not un use. Buy using some of the mounting kits out there

I did something like this years ago and used the state pockets and a winch mounted to a steel bar. Easy fab job. Difficult to remove as it was so heavy. Now I have a trailers as well.
