Blacked out my AT badging

Well not really a fan of the red so I blacked out my badges, only have before picture but you all know what it looks like stock.

 

Did this all with plasti dip

I want to do that to mine when I get a nice day. I bought a can a Plasti-Dip and a roll of painters tape a couple weeks ago, but when I get a day off, it's either raining, or so humid you could cut it with a knife.

 

What did you use to prep the GMC Badges before spraying? Can you just tape off the chrome and peel the dip off, or do you need to cut with a razor blade between the red and chrome?

 

I figured I could just go around the red part with a razor blade then peel it off the chrome part?

About 3 hours, and most of that time was drinking beer waiting for the paint to dry between coats

I taped off most of it, then just got close with a razor blade when I was cleaning it up
