I need a new trans to hold the cammed and stalled LQ9 6.0L. This will be my third trans in the truck and hopefully the last. Ive heard mixed reviews on monster trans, one guy swears by finish line trans, any others? Complete transmissions or rebuild kits, I don't care either way.

And no, I dont want a 4L80e. Don't want to deal with the swap. I have lots of 4l60 cases lying around.

Finish line, PATC, RPM I believe, from what I have seen, Gearstar has an amazing product. That is what I will be using when my 60e dies

Is your current 60 dead yet? If not run it til it dies. I have almost 40k of LQ9 miles on my 60e. The truck has 149k on it and im on the original 60e. No rebuild or replacement. Only thing done is the bette 2nd servo.

Current one isnt totally dead, but getting there. I blew a cooler line last winter and ran it almost out of fluid. It hasn't been the same since. I've been babying it. It has a shift kit w/ aluminum accumulator pistons and the vette servo, it used to shift nice and hard but doesn't anymore. My engine should be ready to go in soon and I have a feeling it'll tear apart whatever's left of the trans. Especially cause I'm gonna wanna test that engine out hard.

Test it hard and blow that trans to pieces

Hahaha, I guess I could. It's not really a big deal if I do because I'm already planning on putting a new one in.
