Puddle light issue

Anyone have any problems with the puddle lights on the mirrors?

 

I know they only are supposed to work when you unlock the truck at night. Mine don't. And then I took a closer look at them and the LED bulb in each light is actually on but they are very, very dim. I just bought the truck a few weeks ago and was wondering why they weren't working. Guess I got to take it in....

Noticed mine were that way too. Haven't had a chance at night to look at it though

Mine are not very bright like a normal LED would be such as the LEDs that came with my AMP PowerSteps. In a well lit parking light they don't help much.

well I don't know anybody local with a new truck like ours, so it's hard to know how bright they are supposed to be. But they definately are not as bright as the ones shown at the end of this guy's video:

nevermind, I figured it out. I had the Vehicle Locater Lights setting turned off. Once I turned it back on, the puddle lights (and front/rear lights) came on after I unlocked the doors.

 

Seems silly to have it set up that way. My Fords with the puddle lights came on all the time when unlocking or even just when opening the doors anytime.

Thank for the info! Turned on my locator light option and now the puddle lights work great..
