add on cassette decks

I've got  a 2002 Silverado with the factory theftlock AM/FM CD.  I'd like to add the cassette, and was wondering if any of the add on decks from GM products would work (plug in) with my head unit.  Is there anything involved other than pluggin in a harness?  There are numerous GM add on units on eBay and in junk yards, but not that many Silverado/Sierra specific ones.  I will have to fabricate a housing for it, so it isn't important that it fits in the factory console.

Thanks,

You can buy an fm modulator the you can plug into a portable cassette player. I did this for my work truck since they frown on changing the stereos, except I was using a portable cd player. No wiring needed, runs on batteries or you can buy a cigarette lighter addapter. You can email me if you have more ????s

Baroth1....If you dont mind waiting, I'm going to remove my tapedeck from my 2002 when I install my Alpine head unit....I plan on buying the GM compartment that goes there instead because I dont use the tapedeck and I doubt if I could get it to work with my new head unit.....I plan on doing this in the next few weeks........

And just to add to blacksabs post, it is just plug-and-play.  There is a harness that plugs into the cassette deck, then plugs into the back of the head unit.  :thumb:
