The link just takes me to tirerack's home page, rather than a specific wheel, so I'm not sure which wheels you're referring to. Also, we need a little more information to help you. What kind of truck are they going on? Year, make, model? Any suspension mods? Tire size?

Not sure why it didn't work. They are the HE835. Right now I have nothing done to my truck but will eventually level it and go with the biggest tires I can without rubbing. They will be going on a 2014 double cab 4x4.

Gotcha. Well the 20x9 and the 18x9 both have a 5.67" backspacing and +18mm offset, so you'll be just fine there. They'll probably be just barely tucked in the fenders still. I've got 18x9, +18mm offset rims on my truck, and they sit just about flush with the fenders. I think the fenders on the new body style trucks are a bit wider, because the new factory rims have a slightly less positive offset then the previous generation. Those wheels with a 2"-2.5" level and some 33's will look really good. And, if they're not hub centric, they should include centering rings that go between the hub and the rim to make it so. I had to use those on my last truck, and they worked just fine.

Ok. Thanks for the help. The ones I am looking at are used for about 400 miles. They are 17x9. What's a decent price to pay?

Ok, well if they're the 17's, then they're only a 17x8, with a 4.53" backspace and 0 offset. That's going to push them farther outside just a bit, and may limit you a little on tire sizes. Are they the chrome ones, or the black/machined ones?

They are the black machined ones. What would be a size tire I could put on those without rubbing?

If they're in really good shape (which they should be with only around 400 miles on them), then I'd say somewhere around $400 would be a good price, including lug nuts and center caps. You should be able to run a 285/70/17 with a leveling kit on those rims, without any problems at all. A 295/70/17 might even fit.

That offset is the issue. It pushes the wheel out 1". You can just subtract 2" in tire section width from the max width that would fit with the 5.5 to 5.7 backspace. So my take is a 33x10.50 will be about the limit without rubbing at full lock.

This is why I want to stay with an OEM wheel. Thanks guys, I'll just wait for a good deal on some stock wheels!
