Broken Drivers Side Mirror

Need help..... I backed into a tree with my 2003 Sierra 1500 and broke the driverside mirror. Wow.... What a costly mistake. Here in Canada they want almost 600 for the mirror or 450 for the whole assembly. It has power, signal and power fold. I found a used whole assembly with same options for a 2007 Sierra for 150. Can anyone tell me if this year model would work for my 2003. gMC dealers won't tell me. Thanks for any help.

Did the assembly break or just the glass? Have you checked ebay?
