2003 silverado stuttering at idle

Help me please, I was driving at 60mph n it felt like my truck missed n it did it a few times in a row. So I parked it n at idle it cuts out n sounds like it's missing. I press the gas pedal n it's almost like it wants to stall it. There are no leaks anywhere. Any help would be nice. I can not figure this out n I have a baby on the way within a month n would like to have this out of my way

Check engine light comes on n flashes at start up but then goes away n just says change oil.

I'm sorry in advance if I posted this in the wrong area, I just had tapatalk installed for this app n I'm still trying to figure it out. I was told to try my fuel filter. But I'm at a loss at this point.

Also can rent a fuel pressure gauge to test the fuel pump/regulator. Key on, engine off - take reading. Then turn key off and watch reading over time. See if/how much/fast the pressure drops.

Sounds good. make sure they do not CLEAR the codes, but just read them. You don't want to clear codes that may be needed for further diagnoisis.

Hey guys I appreciate all the advice, finally figured it out. It happened to be the fuel filter. So it was a simple/cheap fix. 156,xxx miles with the stock one I'd say it did it's job.

Ok so I lied evidently, it ran gone all day after changing the fuel filter n now it's doin it again, any ideas guys?? Do you think it could be bad gas?? I got it from Casey's general store

I have a Casey's by me and i will NOT put their gas in my 5.3. It is possible bad gas. I had bad gas the other day and it drove like shit

Did it seem like it was cutting out?? I let it idle for a little while n it seemed fine but then once I got up to highway speed it started doin it again.

No. You might have a bad intake manifold gasket.

I hope not. I changed the fuel filter yesterday morning n it ran fine all day n then I left my buddies house drove about 20 miles that night headn home n it started again. Would an intake gasket do that??

It could but it could be many other things. What codes did it throw?
