I don't get the appeal of these. Aren't these for rolling your windows down to smoke a cig in the rain?

I have them so I can keep the windows down a little and not worry about if it's going to rain or not. I do that just so the interior can get a little air circulation, especially on hot humid days. As for the smoking thing, ya smokers probably use it for that but I don't allow smoking in this truck.

I like them so I can leave the window down an inch and let fresh air in while driving or sitting and I don't have rain or snow falling into the truck.

I had the dealer throw in a set of visors when i bought my truck. i made it very clear that i wanted the in - channel ones to them. upon arrival to pick it up i saw that it had the stick on ones. i made them knock another 100 $$ off the price as they didn't contact me prior to realizing that they couldn't get any in channel ones that day. pretty disappointed in that. they seem to hold up ok for now just liked the cleaner look of the in - channel ones better. anyone have any suggestions on how to get the glue residue of my paint safely when i rip them off?

I have the in channel weather techs on my CC. I like the look a lot, but they definitely scratch the tops of the windows due to the metal clips required to hold them in place.
