Transmission cooler?

Dealer says the auxiliary trans cooler on my 2014 Silverado LT, 5.3 with 3:42 rear, with towing package is located in the top 3rd of the AC condenser. Is that right? My 2013 Sierra had a small visibly separate one.

Yes I believe he is. I've tried to located pics/diagrams of this with no luck yet. Next time I go to the dealer I'm gonna see if they can get me a diagram of how this transmission cooling system is setup. My 2010 Toyota Tundra's transmission cooler was like this. It was pretty easy to see because the grill was attached to the hood. When the hood was open, you could get access to the front of the radiator/AC condenser. You could see where the AC condenser was separate from the tranny cooler even though it was all one part. It's pretty difficult to see this area on these K2 trucks unless you take the front end apart.

Not sure where it is, but my trans temp hardly ever went up more than 6-7 degrees towing 21' boat weighing around 5000# including tailer

You should be able to see the whole radiator/condenser area if you remove the top black plastic cover over the radiator. It has a dozen or so of those 2 piece push-in retainers.

Yes. I'll see if I can grab some pics.
