I was wanting to use color match paint on parts of my stock 18" wheels on my Silverado. Has anyone done this. I did some crude editing to try to look at it, What do you think?

 Much better.

You might think about what someone said about color match. How about color matching just where you show the black?

Def gonna look at color matching only issue would be the logistics since this is May daily driver. May have to get the old 77 f150 up from the deer camp for a week.

I wouldn't color match. Honestly, color matching a few parts of the truck are great but unless you have a black truck then the rims should not color match IMO. I really think that rims should be a different color than the body. It starts to look way too show truckish if the rims are anything but aluminum (brushed, polished, etc), chrome, or black (matte or gloss)

However, I do think that the black would look good in the places you have edited it in. Would add some definition and depth to the rim. And would certainly make it stand out. From the crowd.

There are factory rims that look like that, only the black part is cut out. There must be some in the rim thread? My Camaro has a light gray line down the center of the spokes like that on the polished aluminum wheels, but the car is blue. Some of the GMC's have an argent accent on the aluminum wheels.

I think it looks good, but a lot like the other Chevy rims on the 2014's.
