As far as I know I'm one of the first to color match a Slate gray metallic silverado. Just got it back from the body shop yesterday. Sorry it's kind of dirty, we just had some snow here lol.20160326_143303_zpsqcvhtpft.jpg

very nice man! Would love to see some more pics when you have time.

Good job man! Was everything chrome before? Also did you powder coat or paint? Would really like to see more pictures. Cheers.

Thanks man, do you have any request on pictures as far as front, side, or rear end pictures?

Looks great dude, what are the plans for it?

I like that a lot. How much did you pay to have it color matched. Definitely something I would wanna do!

The oem paintable parts where about $1500.00. That's for a new grille, front bumper, and rear bumper. Then paint and labor was another $1500.00. Keep in mind I had to get the mirror caps and headlight bezels acid etched for paint which the body shop did for me. It wasn't cheap, but I absolutely love how it came out!

We all appreciate the pictures! So you did not paint over the chrome? You bought new plactic bumpers? Thanks.

No problem man, I don't have kids yet so easter isn't overly busy for me lol. And as far as the bumpers go they are the factory steel bumpers, they just come pre primered instead of chrome plated. I had to get the part numbers off of a high country silverado for a paintable front and rear bumper with park assist sensor holes lol.

Looks great at every step, what are lift/level and wheel/tire specs? I'd like to color match but may be too pricey for me.

Yeah I know it, I really wanted to be one of the first to do it. I only know of one other silverado that's done it but it's a 2500Hd.

Lift is 4" Ready lift Sst, went that route because the dealership said they'd value my warranty since that's the lift they use to dress up trucks. And my wheels and tires are 20x9's BMF Novakanes with 0 offset and 5 backspacing. I was running a set of 35's but I sold those and went to these 305 55 R20 Mickey Thompson Baja Mtz's. It doesn't rub now and it looks more proportional with a 33.5" tire.

Plans on mine are actually somewhat similar to what you have done. I love the color match!! But idk if it's in my budget right now. I really want to add some 33s with some better wheels But I'm worried about the loss of power, and the gearing when adding a larger tire. Do you have any insight on that?
