Hey guys I'm considering purchasing a 12 Sierra Crew A/T in black, its all black (bumpers/grill) with only 12k and is one of the nicest ive seen in a while, any idea's as to what its worth? any issues in those years to look out for? I know 2010's had oil burn issues, did that carry over for later years? 3.42 rear end, Its a SLE, wish it was any color other then black, but oh well, I wanted to buy a 14 but this is alot cheaper,

For me, I just can't wrap myself around the new trucks at all..

Inside and out, the styling leaves me wholly unimpressed.

I hate, hate, hate the Dodge inspired small back doors on the double "extended" cabs. The opening is so small only little children and midgets can freely egress. GM finally got the extended cab rear doors down so well, Ford copied them with their new aluminum can trucks.

I will say, they stepped up with the K2XX interior materials, but the design is just too garish and clunky. They copied the Ford instrument cluster, which isn't a good thing.

The exterior styling on the older ones is more handsome. The direct injected engines are noisy, and don't start as nice.

The '14 wheels are awesome, though!

Anyone know if my tonneau from my 05 will fit?

It will fit. My buddy had a '03 with a hard tonneau and it fits perfectly on a '13

I'd get a 2014, I test drove a '11 before I got my '14, I got a 2014 with less options than the used '11 and I'm glad I did the '11 was so noisy on the highway compared to the K2 trucks.

any reason why?

The new trucks have been out for some time now, and I just still cant look at a stock one and think about why the F*** they did what they did to the wheel wells... I get GM has squared wells and Ford and Dodge have round, but they took squared wells to a whole new level and without a lift and bigger tires, they just are too much.. I cant see buying a brand new truck and having to mod it up to make it look good (they look great modded). I just dont have that budget..

..... and I dont like first year runs for any vehicle. Too many bugs etc need to be worked out.

Good luck in whatever you end up with. Just think that '12 with low miles would have been my choice.
