I ALWAYS take two parking spaces - ain't nobody gonna scratch my truck!

 

 

Do that enough and some teenager or 20 something (well.. and probably older spiteful folks too) will park their crapmobile just as close to you as they possibly can AND ding your doors. You see people hating on this behavior on reddit all the time.

 

Personally, if I can, I park far away from people AND "badly." I take up 2, sometimes 3 places :lol: but only if I know I'm not gonna cause a problem. In crowded lots I just suck it up and hope for the best.

 

+1 on sports cars but don't trust them either. The ONLY dent my 2012 camaro ever had was from a lexus LX420 or whatever that little 2 door sports deal they make is.

 

You dont want your door dinged, park next to a minivan on the passenger side and hope no one is riding in the front seat.

I agree that parking at a GREAT distance is the only safe thing, which I do too. But of course, your truck can be a "target" at certain un-named box stores when you park out in the open....hehehe. In that case, I look for trees and curbs for protection. My Sierra is 4 years old and still no dents. WHEW!

Strange how so many manufacturers have deleted body side moldings from their cars and trucks. As if dings looked any better than body side moldings.

I had an 02 Silverado and I parked it quite a ways from the entrance of the store. As I was leaning inside the truck, I heard this "BANG".

 

A shopping cart had rolled across the lot and hit my truck. It hit where the side moldings were just behind the door.

 

When you look at the truck straight on, you didn't see any damage. But when you go to the back of the truck and look down the side of it, you could see where the bed was dented in a little. Of course there was no one in sight to yell at.

      Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.

      Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?

      Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.

      Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.

      I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
