Max Trailer Package Ride

I currently own a 2009 GMC 1500 Crew Cab and a 2008 2500HD Duramax in an extended cab. My wife is unhappy with the rough ride of the 2500HD. Last week I put a deposit down on a 2015 GMC SLT with the 6.2L and max trailer package. To date, I have not driven any of the 2014 or 2015 GM trucks in any configuration. So the question is: How does the max trailer package ride unloaded compared to a 1500 or 2500HD? Both of my other trucks will be sold before my new truck arrives in March. Thanks for any and all feedback.
