New recall on 2007-2013?

I see on the news that there is a new recall on the Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, etc,.

 

This is on the ignition switches. Some may not be operating correctly if subjected to heat.

 

Just caught it and the woman reporting it said 2007 to last year's models. When I first heard it on the news preview, they said either 2010-2011 or 2011-2012.

 

Sorry I don't have exact details but it was kind of sketchy. Both their reporting and my memory.

This is what I read...

 

"The latest issue was discovered in an internal review following warranty party returns, GM said, and covers certain Chevrolet Silverado light-duty and heavy-duty pickups, as well as Avalanche, Tahoe and Suburban; GMC Sierra light duty and heavy-duty pickups, and Yukon and Yukon XL; Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV and Escalade EXT. It concerns models from 2011 and 2012, and 2007-2014 vehicles that have been repaired with defective parts."

well, so far our Silverado and my Aveo have been pretty damn lucky on avoiding every recall announced so far, and this latest recall and a Recall of the 2009-2010 Aveo Last July represent two EXTREMELY CLOSE Shaves we've had; but every time I plug our VINs in the GM Recall Center, they thankfully come up clean.
