Hello. I drive a 1999 Silverado single cab long bed 5.3 2wd. I am having an issue with my passenger side window. The window will not roll down from the drivers side switch, but will roll down just fine from the passenger side switch. Any ideas. Also my drives side windows up and down operation is really slow. Im thinking its the motor but not sure. Sometimes it does not work at all.

Replace your driver side regulator assembly and motor. It's probably worn and in need of replacement. While the panel is off look at the switch connections to make sure they are secure. Check with a test light or volt meter for proper operation. Sounds like you've got a bad switch

Yeah I went to a junkyard to get another switch but it didn't change anything. It probably the wiring because it looked like the previous owner soldered the wiring on the actual plug in. Thank you for the quick response.

+1 on changing the driver's side regulator and motor assembly. Seems like you might have some electrical gremlins if you see some shoddy soldering work already. I'd try to replace both switches, just in case. If that doesn't fix it. Inspect how the connections are on the driver's side, and compare them to the passenger side.

Hello,
Have a 99 Silverado, 5.3, short bed, 3 door; 140k miles.

Driver's window stopped working.

Removed and replaced Switch module, Regulator and motor.

STILL WON'T WORK.
The switches for passenger window, and door lock opperate just fine.
Checked fuse under panel on side of dash by driver door. Is OK...
Can't figure this one out.

To both posters with the question...

In my case there was a harness plug in the fuse block inside the driver side door in the dash was not fully seated and was not allowing me to operate my power windows or mirrors from the driver side door switches.
