Powder Coating Rims

I am getting my rims powder coated this week I have the 2014 Sierra All Terrain 20" wheels, I was wondering if anyone has seen trucks with these wheels in matte black and gloss black I cant decide what way to go.

You could plasti dip them for cheap and if it didn't look right you can peel it off.

yeah I am leaning towards the gloss look, was hoping someone would have a pic of those rims on a truck in gloss black, or even matte.

Did my 2007 20" wheels in satin black. They were getting kind of yellow and nasty. Drove through Michigan winters with it and they lasted very well.

I have my CTS V wheels powdercoated gloss black by Les Schwab and they look great. I plan on doing it again when I get my denali and order the 22in wheels.

 

I def wouldn't use plasti dip but that is me

I'm still trying to decide on new rims or doing something with my stock rims. Roughly how much would it cost to powder coat my 18s? I figure if I'm going to do something with them I might as well do something that will last better than just paint.

 

As for the question, I myself would get gloss which is what I would get for my black '14. Everything I've done on mine has been to gloss black so it all matches. I feel flat black would look out of place if everything else is gloss or chrome.

Get some black plastidip, they also make some glossifier stuff. It's supposed to give it the gloss look instead of matte look that plastidip has. I've never used it, but it would be worth a Google and also be a cheap way to see them in matte first and then Glossed to see what you prefer.

+1 for the pic request! I have an All Terrain ordered and have been thinking about getting the wheels powdercoated gloss black or a dark gunmetal/charcoal shade.

what wheels are those, oem 22s? It looks great with the gloss powdercoat, but are the tires to big? Are those oem size, something just looks a little off to me. Might have to see it person

I think his are 22s actually. But they look similar enough to the 20s to give a good idea
