2004 Suburban rear axle removal problem

Have removed the C-clips and the axles, both sides will not come out. Even removed the ABS sensor on one side and still not coming out. Any suggestions what I need to look for? Is it time for a slide hammer?

if the c clips are out they should slide out if not slide hammer and it should come

You have problems or are missing something , makes no sence ., I've never had an axle be a dik to get out

You removed the 8mm bolt and pin. Now do the axles move at all after you have removed the C-clips?
