LOW OIL PRESSURE- SHUT OF ENGINE!

Happened twice since picking it up from the body shop from a left front tire impact collision. Body shop took it to the Chevy dealer and they diagnosed a oil sending unit sensor going bad. Luckily the other guys insurance finally agreed to pay the 850.00 bill since supposedly you have to remove the fuel rails to get to the 30.00 part. Body shop guy tells the me truck is now ready and I asked him to drive it down the highway since both times is happened once you get over 60 mph. Body shop guy took it down the road and once again it is happening. Now dealer says could be one of 5 things, oil pan issue, active fuel management system,ECM issue etc. or bad motor. All I know is that I have never had any issues like this before the wreck. I will leave out the Body Shop name, Insurance Co. name and so forth for now. Any thoughts on whats up??????

What year?

What engine?

What all has been replaced?

Have you scanned it for codes?

Did you take it to the dealer again for diagnosis, or was this all done over the phone?

A co-worker of mine had an oil pressure sending unit code like you are having. Dealer replaced sending unit also ( and charged him) .He was driving home and check engine light came on, so he went back. They scanned it , came up with same code. The decided to keep it a couple days to figure it out. two days later, he picks it up, ended up that the something in the oil filter went, and was causing a restriction in the oiling system. Computer wasn't seeing the correct oil pressure for the parameters it was running.

the vehicle is a 2010 silverado 5.3

I'd have them throw on a new filter and see where that goes.
