Tonnopro tri fold

I have the fold-a-cover quad fold now, but had a soft tri-fold from e-bay (I linked below) for a little while which was easy to remove and water tight after I added some silicone. You get what you pay for. Keep in mind that some folded covers block your rear window when folded all the way up.

One thing I don't like about the Fold-A-Cover is that it actually doesn't fold "all the way up" and you're left with about 18" of your bed that isn't accessible by a taller item. How do you work around that? One of the things that ends up in my truck is pallets of fire bricks. Given their weight, that pallet has to go absolutely as far forward as possible.

Personally, I couldn't care less about the folding cover blocking my rear window. If I have it folded up that much, there's a pretty good chance that whatever is in the bed is blocking the window anyhow.

Also - I'm curious whether or not the key lock ices up easily in the snow. Any input on that?

The ice wasn't in the lock as they have a rubber cap. When folded all the way it is only about 6 or less inches tall. Sits about flush with the sliding window when open. For my needs, with bicycles and fire wood loaded in truck, it does not block the window. I like to see my camper (yes I can see with side mirrors but I like to see from the rear to). I can't tow a quad or anything that needs to be against cab, but that is not the needs for this truck. If I had to fit something flush...I would probably go with a pentagon so I can still see what my load is doing.

You can fold "almost all the way up" (like yours) if you have a 5th wheel or something like that and need to see out the window. Having the flexibility is something I would need, and wonder if the F-A-C comes completely off easily and could be set in the bed like cargo?

What's the pentagon that you're referring to? Did you mean Peragon, by chance? I can't do retractable here in the snow belt...

tonno pro tri fold.. 2 quick levers and the whole thing comes off if NEEDED.. 1 guy can do it by himself.

I had a tonneau cover roll up to start with. It became annoying when it rained, the water would sit and cause it to fold in. No water ever got in the bed, but I had to move my truck, to get the water off. Just changed to a bak flip and love it. If funds are not there, see if you can wait. Better to get it right the first time around. GL.

I have the tonnopro trifold on my '14 sierra. I'm not very happy with it. The vinyl is very loose and flaps around quite a bit when driving. Also I think the clamps towards the tailgate end of the truck just seem cheap and like they will probably only last a few years.

My old man has a Extang Trifecta on his truck, and I wish I had bought that one instead. I tried to save $100, but I think I got an inferior product.
