TUNER HELP ASAP AUTOCAL!

so my current truck is a 2500hd 6.0 gas truck

I have autocal black bear tune

 

I just got a loan and am going to purchase a duramax and they don't tune diesels.. How do I unmarry my vin so that I can use it on my duramax? And do I have to ship the autocal to black bear for them to unlink it from their system as we'll? Athen after that will I be all set to find a tuner and buy tunes for the duramax?

There is no "unlinking". To use it on another vehicle, you have to buy another slot (license). Once a slot is used, it's used.

 

Last I knew, BlackBear is doing diesels now.

Nvm. I found if on their website for $125 - that's not bad. It would be a v2 license correct?

 

Would black bear still have to unlink from their software then? If black bear is really doing diesel (which I can find anything on their page supporting that) I still don't know if it's a good idea? Ik they are amazing with the gas vehicles but diesel I feel like I should go with someone who has years back ground of tuning them??

Go with a reputable diesel tuner... Check out Motorops if you want to fully delete or Duramax Tuner if you want to tune and keep emissions

We'll straight pipe and egr block off is about how far i will get with deleting emissions. I just sold a few toys to get my down payment. Just waiting for next pay stub then I'll be a new duramax owner ?

 

As for finding a diesel tuner I was gonna see who some of my local diesel performance shops recommend.

Black bear doesn't have to unlink or anything, it's just a used slot. I'd do some research I guess and see who you want to tune it.

Tyler, congrats on getting a diesel and good call on emailing blackbear. Let us know what they tell you. I'm also on another forum geared toward the duramax. From reading on there in the past I believe blackbear would have to unlink your autocal from their v2 for you to use a different tuner.

2001 as of right now.

 

Was looking at a couple lbz's but I want something with no rust 8ft bed 4door. In michigan that's rare but I found one in need of a tcase and a little rust repair on bed for 7k

A diesel is just better suit for a a d fast truck a camping truck a pulling truck truck mixed with dd.

 

Good all around truck. A gas truck u either go super fast not dd or u pull not dd or u dd. Lol

Caught my self doing 95mph pulling a 30ft travel trailer!!! Didn't even feel like it with that dirty on 35s.. Felt like 70mph. My truck abt dies pulling that thing up hills

If you're talking about unassociating the Autocal from BlackBear, I'm not sure you can.
