Do you have WeatherTech Vent Visors on a Double Cab?

This thread is pointedly aimed at those that have a Double Cab (Sierra or Silverado) and have purchased / installed the WeatherTech Vent Visors, kit 82740

My kit came with two front visors, to rear visors, and a plastic installation tool that I've never seen in these kits before. It seems that the tool is used to press the visor against the rubber weather seal to seat the adhesive tape, but none of the four visors had adhesive on them.

I contacted MacNeil Automotive to inquire as to whether there was supposed to be adhesive or not, and I was told "No, just the clips."

I didn't get any clips either. So, they're mailing a set to me. But, in looking at the rear visors, they are not cut/molded to install with clips and I'm wondering if the woman that was handling my inquiry knows what she's talking about.

So... For those of you that have this set of visors - did yours come with adhesive? Clips? Neither? Both?

If you got clips, were your rear visors cut/molded for them?

On my crew cab it came with two metal clips per side that hold the visor up in the window seal, no adhesive. That's the whole reason I bought them.

They have an S type shape to them that holds the visor and it goes up inside the window seal and basically holds them in there with pressure

Thanks for the note. Were your visors molded / cut where the clips are supposed to attach them? I thought that the instructions shows notches in the visors that installed with clips, and there are no notches in mine.

I'm not sure if the DC and CC versions would install the same way because of the difference in size, though.

Good to know. Thanks!

They recommend installing them 3"-4" from the edge. Seems you're dead-on in that regard. Waiting for them to come in the mail so I can determine if they're going to actually be useful or not.

Just put them on my 2015 silverado dbl cab. came with clips. front and back fit just right. You tube video shows how to measure and mount them with little tool that they come with.

Thanks... I saw the video and it looks pretty simple. I just didn't get any clips. :(

Still waiting for them...
