Need some info on E-85 mapping and alky injection

Aight guys, this is my thought process...but I'm not sure if it'll work.

I am assuming that our trucks monitor the alcohol % to switch the mapping when running E-85. IF that is correct, what percentage needs to be seen to swap to that map?

IF I'm wrong than that means that the truck can add a crap load of timing on it's own, something that seems far fetched without factory wideband o2's.

Before any "it's pointless on N/A" comments, hear me out:

Problem: The 2014's are direct injection, meaning no fuel cleansing the backside of the valves.

Solution: 1) Add a catch-can ~85% effective probably (they aren't catching everything).

2) Enter alky injection. Spraying a mix of water and methanol into the intake will help clean the rear of the valves. Do both and keep everything nice and clean.

The variable: Adding meth to the mix is going to raise the octane and allow some added ponies. On N/A the gains are normally small, however...if even w/o a tune the truck can compensate to the 113 added ocatne points...

The 5.3L on E-85 shows about 320whp and 340ish wtq......from 302 whp and 325ish wtq on gas. If the truck can compensate without a tune even being in the mix...I would see a noticeable bump in HP and TQ, AND...

No loss in mileage running E-85!!!!

Let's discuss the plan!!!

Just to recall, I remember when I mentioned a catch-can there wasn't a lot of initial intrest...I expect the same on this until it's done.
