6" suspension plus 1.5" BL or 1.25" leveling kit

I've been talking to a shop about options for more clearance in the front and I was thinking a zone or rc body lift. They suggested the leveling kit that is a 1.5 but they shave off a quarter know and that they have done it a lot and no issues can come from this. I have good angles up front and I know the body lift won't affect it but I know nothing about leveling kits. Any advice?

What kit are you running? Most suspensions will allow an additional 1-2" up front without being too hard on the angles.

You'll be fine. Most I'd do is 1.5". Ideally no more than 1". Ever consider bilstein 7-9s?

I've Googled and searched on here and can't find anything specifically on what I'm trying to do with adding a leveling kit to my suspension lift. I've read several people trying to stack leveling kits and that's an obvious no. Lol. Just trying to get an extra inch or so.

Body lift is relatively easy to do if you have some help and are at least a little mechanic savvy. My brother and a friend put the one on my truck in about 6 hours while I was out of town. Plus, it's relatively inexpensive for the additional 1.5" you get.

I just spent an hour trying to read up on those since I've never heard of them. I see a lot of guys with the previous body style running it with the fabtech 6" because they say it's closer to an 8" lift. Is this true with the fabtech on the 14s and up because I haven't read anyone saying that like that do on the 07-13. And also, I haven't read anyone posting hoe much it's actually lifting their trucks except one guy who had his on 8 and he said he gained maybe a 1/4". Do you know anymore about this set up in the current body style? I'm going to keep digging. I know my brother and I can replace the this ourselves. Body lift and leveling kit is something that I was going to have to take to a shop.

I agree with you on the cost part as long as I can do it myself, but I don't see my brother tackling it with me since it's something he's never done. Struts though he's done on several cars. The shop here wants 500$ for the body lift plus tax if I use what they have for the lift, or 350$ to install the one I bring

My brother had never done one before either but had helped me do my spacers on my struts. Seriously, it's only nuts and bolts. No cutting. Just a little elbow grease.

Do you know anything about the fabtech on the 14 and up? If it's also supposed to be almost an 8" lift?

I would do the body lift that way it keeps the truck level, unless you are going for the cali look (which i actually like). the 1.25 body lift you can barely notice the gaps and gives you that little extra.
