Out With The Old, In With The New

The 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe has seen better days and it was time to find something new. A couple of things that will not change upon the purchase of a new truck, is the color and the make.

Chevrolet has always been there for us, yet we didn't agree with the government take over a few years back. One other thing we couldn't do without was the OnStar system.. it's just become seconds nature.

We drove the 04 Chevy Tahoe to the dealer for the last time.. and set our sights on the new Chevy Colorado. We ended up purchasing the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado Z71(Cyber Graphite) which closely resembles the grey clear coat the tahoe has.

Although the Tahoe was/is a big SUV, This Colorado can't be confused with it's presissior.. This was to be my first nearly full sized chevy truck. An extended cab with a long box and I was barely able to squeak it into a late 40's garage. Needless to say, I'll need to reconfigure the walls with padding as not to scratch the outer door frames upon opening.

Our plans for this new 2015 Colorado are simple.. We're not going to do much of anything to it.. except:

Projected Add Ons:

▶ Mud Guards: $100.00
▶ Floor Liners: $125.00
▶ Hard Shell Tonneau Cover: $900.00
▶ Bug Guard: $80.00
▶ Window Deflector: $50.00
▶ Chevy Running Boards: $400.00
▶ Bedline The Unprotected Bed: $650.00
▶ Repaint Front Tow Hooks:

I would grab images, but it's been raining here and will continue to rain over the next few days.. One should expect images when time warrants.

Welcome aboard. The Mrs. really likes the looks of them, so it's definitely going to be considered when it's time to replace my 08.

Nice v6? welcome

Toliver, we've opted for the 2.5 L I4 Ecotec LCV Engine. Yeah I know sucks.. but we aren't planning on doing any major hauling or towing.

99Silver, I think this is one reason the Mrs selected the truck.. Her happiness would come first, I would have rather been in the Black bowtie. One thing though, she will be driving it more than I and we wanted to have the same comfort as the larger Tahoe.. I can't say we'll miss the Tahoe.
